This apartment balcony was transformed from a plain tiled outdoor area into a Mediterranean-inspired decked retreat. The project was completed from a landscape architect’s design and involved a range of custom elements to bring the space together.

The scope included a reclaimed hardwood deck with a pre-greyed finish, an aluminium frame, custom-built aluminium planters made in Melbourne, Bluetooth irrigation, planting and garden lighting.

Although the finished result was beautiful, the project came with plenty of logistical challenges, with all materials needing to be brought up six floors via the lift.
